Printers are expensive and often an under utilised resource in office environments. With Elproma Printer Sharers, this resource can be made more effective by allowing the connection up to seven computers to one printer. The Printer Sharers are fully automatic and compatible with all terminal equipment including high speed laser printers.
The Elproma Printer Sharers operate by scanning the input ports for data, once data is found the unit locks on to that port and routes all data through to the output. When the data transmission is complete, the port is released and the unit starts scanning again. All units have a manual override facility and front panel led's to indicate which port is active.

The range of buffered units (BPS) use their internal memory to store the incoming data so that the computer can be released much faster, a definite bonus for busy offices.
In the non-buffered units (PSS & PS), serial (RS232) or parallel (centronics) versions are available, with the PSM-04-01 a combination of serial and parallel inputs is provided for complete versatility.
